Quick, beautiful,
and delicious, these small birds are satisfying both in the
field and on the dinner table. About two-thirds the size of
a mature pheasant, Chukar partridges are identifiable by their
bright orange beaks, barred feathers on their sides, and their
uncanny ability to go from zero to gone in 2.3 microseconds.
Bagging these agile birds is no small trick, but the rewards
for the successful shooter are worth every ounce of adrenaline
you expend.
